The Board of Byron Bay Golf Club is pleased to announce the
appointment of Scott Barnett as the Club’s new Course Superintendent.
Scott joins us with extensive industry experience, having
held senior turf management roles at Margaret River Golf Club, Kennedy Bay,
Boonah, and several other high-quality facilities. He brings a strong
professional background and a proven track record in course presentation and
team leadership.
Scott will officially commence in the role on Monday, 2
March.
As Scott is relocating to the region, he is currently
seeking short-term accommodation while securing a permanent residence. He will
be relocating with a small French Bulldog (approximately 14kg). If any members
have a studio, unit, or suitable accommodation available—either short-term or
with longer-term security—please contact the Club via the BBGC Manager email
address. Any assistance would be of significant benefit to both Scott and the
Club.
The Board would also like to sincerely thank Gus for
stepping up during this transitional period and for leading a well-orchestrated
summer renovation program.
Please join us in welcoming Scott to the Club. Members can
look forward to tight greens and continued course improvements.
Warm regards,
Sam Leo
